Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 23 June 2017 9.00am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

Real-time procedures were executed on Jun 16 and Jun 17 to dump OBC-A and OBC-B memory as a follow-up to the EPS Current Monitor Threshold Patch uplinked last week. The dump will be used to update the baseline memory image maintained on the ground. Preparations were completed for the summer 2017 eclipse season; the season contains eight eclipses and runs from Jun 23 to Jul 12. Real-time procedures were executed on Jun 22 to prepare for the first eclipse: one to activate SCS 29 and one to dump and clear the EPS glitch counters.

The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of 3C273 coordinated with XMM-Newton and NuStar, and an observation of SN2017egm, which was accepted as a Target of Opportunity on Jun 17.
