During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned. Chandra passed through the third, fourth, and fifth eclipses of the season on Dec 30, Jan 2, and Jan 4 with nominal power and thermal performance. A real-time procedure was executed on Jan 3 to dump and clear the EPS glitch counters. Another real-time procedure was executed on Jan 3 to perform a routine self-check of the Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer. The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of DM Tau, which is a follow-up to a Director's Discretionary Time Target of Opportunity which was accepted on Nov 22, an observation of GM Aur coordinated with HST and VLA, and an observation of LAMOST J061149+22493, which was accepted as a Director's Discretionary Time Target of Opportunity on Dec 22. |
