During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as
planned.
Of note last week was the approval for the integration of the HRC Engineering Unit (known as Proof of Concept unit) with the Avionics and Software Validation Test set (ASVT). The new capability will allow testing of new or modified HRC on-orbit procedures directly with the spacecraft simulator. The schedule of targets for next week is shown below and includes an observation of M81 coordinated with the VLA. |
