During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned. Preparations were completed for the Spring 2022 eclipse season; the season contains 14 eclipses and runs from April 14 to May 18. Real-time procedures were executed on Apr 13 to prepare for the first eclipse by dumping and clearing the EPS glitch counters, activating SCS 29, and setting the Short Eclipse Flag to true (short). Chandra passed through the first eclipse the season on Apr 14 with nominal power and thermal performance. An additional real-time procedure was executed on Apr 14 to set the Short Eclipse Flag to false (medium). A real-time procedure was executed on Apr 14 to upload the MUPS Effective Thruster Algorithm (META) Patch. An additional real-time procedure was executed on Apr 15 to dump OBC-A memory as a follow-up to the patch. The dump will be used to update the baseline memory images maintained on the ground. The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of 4U 1626-67 coordinated with IXPE. |
