During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as
planned.
A Chandra image release was issued on May 10 of the planetary nebulae Mz 3, BD+30-3639, Hen 3-1475, and NGC 7027. The composite images include data from Chandra, Hubble and optical telescopes. For details see: http://chandra.harvard.edu/photo/2006/pne/ Of note last week was the site visit to the CXC by the NRC committee on Astronomy Science Centers. The schedule of targets for next week is shown below and includes an observation of GX 340+0 coordinated with RXTE and the VLA. |
