Friday 14 July 2006 6.00am EDT
During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as
planned.
Chandra passed through the third and fourth eclipses of the 2006 summer season on July 10 and 13 with nominal power and thermal performance. A real-time procedure was executed on July 8 to clear a glitch counter that incremented during exit from the second eclipse of the season on July 7. The counter increment is expected under certain timing and thermal conditions. A real-time procedure was executed on 7 July to perform a routine self-check of the Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer. The schedule of targets for next week is shown below and includes an observation of Sgr A* coordinated with ground observatories. |
