During the last week the observing schedule was replanned to include
an 80 Ks observation of GRB061021 that was accepted as a fast
turn-around Target Of Opportunity (TOO) on 21 October. Loads were
replanned and uplinked on October 22. As a result of the replan
observations of GBW2, GBW3, 1RXS J175721.2-30, GBW11, GBW12, 1RXS
J171824.2-402 and HESS J1713-381 were impacted and will be rescheduled
in a later load.
Chandra passed through a 20 minute lunar eclipse on 21 October with nominal power and thermal performance. A real-time procedure was completed to disable SCS 29 following eclipse exit. A Chandra image release was issued on 24 October showcasing a composite image of the Crab Nebula. Data from Chandra, Spitzer and Hubble were combined to create the "halloween-themed" image. For details see: http://chandra.harvard.edu/photo/2006/crab/ The schedule of targets for next week is shown below. |
