Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 10 August 2007 9.00am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

The data from an Aspect Camera dark current calibration conducted on Aug 7 were lost due to a DSN station anomaly and a repeat calibration will be rescheduled as soon as practical.

A real-time procedure was executed on Aug 8 to perform a routine self-check of the Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer.

A Chandra image release was issued on Aug 8 of two supernova remnants, G347.3-0.5 and RCW 86, that combine XMM-Newton wide-field data with Chandra high resolution images to investigate energy production and particle acceleration mechanisims.
