The following is an overview of the events that occurred over the last 24 hours.
Performed IPS #5 burn. All systems performed nominally. Based on a preliminary state vector input from DSN which was taken 5 hours post burn, the Chandra orbit has a 9652km perigee and 139,188km apogee. This orbit is within the range of perigee altitudes with acceptable Earth/lunar eclipse durations and is acceptable for Chandra operation. When confirmed with the next state vector update in approximately 12 hours, this will be declared the final operational orbit.
Measured optical cavity pressure of 8.1 E-06 Torr. Pressure has been reduced from 8.3 E-06 in the last 24 hours Testing with the vehicle is currently underway to determine if residual propellant sloshing during maneuvering will adversely affect PCAD performance. Evaluated Aspect Camera performance sensitivity as a function of HRMA thermal control system operation. Performance was consistent with pre-test predictions. Continued ACIS calibrations.
