During the last 24 hours Chandra completed the GTO observation of NGC 1275, entered the radation belts and passed through the 10th eclipse of the season. The performance of the power system was as expected during the eclipse that started at 6.28PM on 10/10 and lasted for 39 minutes. Following belt exit at 2AM 10/11, a post-belt ACIS CTI measurement will be made prior to the start of the GTO observation of PKS 0745-191 with ACIS and the HETG.
The spacecraft systems continued to operate nominally. |
