Operations CXO Status Report

Wednesday 22 December 1999 7.30am EST

During the last 48 hours, the team completed the Continuous Dither testing successfully, Chandra passed through the radiation belts with associated ACIS CTI measurements and completed observations of Cen-A and RX J0822-4300 with HRC-I, and began a long observation of PSR J0822-4300 with HRC-I.

One real-time action was completed at 12:05am 12/22 to change the aspect camera integration time from 0.704 sec to 1.696 sec following the Continuous Dither testing on Monday. The mission schedule for the 2 week period Dec 26 - Jan 9 is in final review and is expected to be approved today. [Also uplinked B-side SI Safing patch at 10am 12/21]

During the next 48 hours Chandra will complete the observation of PSR J0822-4300 with HRC-I, observe the center of M-31 with HRC-I, A521 with ACIS-I and pass through the radiation belts with associated ACIS CTI measurements.

The spacecraft systems continued to operate nominally.
