Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 23 March 2001 4.00pm EST

During the last week, Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

Real-time procedures were completed nominally on March 18 to insert the LETG and on March 24 to retract the LETG. Testing of the flight software patch to allow a return to autonomous control of both the LETG and HETG underwent the final stages of testing at the OCC and TRW this week. On-orbit testing is scheduled for the first week in April, following board approval.

The planned observations for the coming week are shown below and include a coordinated observation of NGC 3783 with the Hubble Space Telescope.
