During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.
A realtime procedure was completed on 18 Aug to recover data from SSR-A after it became full and recording autonomously switched to SSR-B. SSR-A filled following problems with a DSN pass and was unloaded during a rescheduled pass. A small data loss was incurred and recording was switched back to the A-side on Aug 19. Of note last week was the shipping of the Avionics and Software Validation Test Set (ASVT) from NGST Space Park to the OCC in Cambridge. The equipment will arrive 25 Aug and be fully checked out prior to resuming operational use. The ASVT has been operated remotely by the Flight Operations Team since launch. The observing schedule for next week is shown below and includes TOO followup observations of XTE J1810-197 and Eta Car. |
