During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.
A real-time procedure was executed on Jul 27 to monitor the performance of the MUPS thrusters during a firing at an elevated starting valve temperature. This was the sixth in a planned series of performance demonstrations, which are hoped to allow for the relaxation of the constraint on starting valve temperatures on scheduling momentum dumps. Thruster performance during the dump was nominal. A second real-time procedure was executed on Jul 29 to update the on-board ephemeris. The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of TOO_XTEJ1752-223 coordinated with the VLA and observations of GX 13+1 coordinated with RXTE. |
