| During the last week the observing schedule was replanned to include a
25 ks observation of the source GRB110402A that was accepted as a
Target of Opportunity on Apr 4. A scheduled observation of Abell 1775
was impacted by the TOO and will be rescheduled in a later load.
A real-time procedure was executed on Apr 6 to perform a routine self-check of the Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer. Preparations are complete for the start of the spring 2011 eclipse season beginning on Apr 15. This season contains 23 eclipses and will end on Jun 9. The season includes a back-to-back Lunar and Earth eclipse event on Jun 2. A Chandra press release was issued on Apr 7 as a NASA press release describing multi-telescope observations of the gamma-ray burst, GRB110328A. The source of GRB110328A, observed by the NASA telescopes Chandra, Hubble, and Swift, appears to be a galaxy about 3.8 billion light years from Earth. Early analysis of the data suggests the burst may have been caused by a star torn apart by a supermassive black hole in the galaxy's center.
