During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned. Chandra passed through the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth eclipses of the fall season on Oct 14, 17, and 20 respectively, with nominal power and thermal performance. A real-time procedure was executed on Oct 18 to perform a diagnostic dump of the Control Processing Electronics (CPE). Of note in the coming week, this year's Einstein Fellows Symposium is being held at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD on Oct 25-26. The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of CXOU J164710.2-455216, which was accepted as a Director's Discretionary Time TOO on Oct 12, and observations of IC348 coordinated with Spitzer. |
