During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned. Chandra passed through the sixteenth and seventeenth eclipses of the fall season on Oct 30 and Nov 2 respectively, with nominal power and thermal performance. A real-time procedure was executed on Oct 31 to clear a glitch counter that incremented during eclipse exit. The counter increment is expected under certain timing and thermal conditions. A second real-time procedure was executed on Nov 2 to perform a routine self-check of the Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer. Of note this week was the release on Nov 1 of CXCDS 8.4.1 for standard processing, which includes several upgrades to support ReproIV in AP and to better handle data from pipeline processing in archive, a change in HRC masks to better account for "bad-pixel" regions, and an update to the ACIS default aim-point. The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes observations of GRB 110731A and Swift J1834.9-0846, which are follow-ups to Targets of Opportunity that were accepted on Aug 10 and Aug 24 respectively, and observations of IC348 coordinated with Spitzer. |
