During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

Chandra passed through the tenth and eleventh eclipses of the season on Apr 8 and 11 respectively, with nominal power and thermal performance.

A real-time procedure was executed on Apr 11 to perform a diagnostic dump of the Central Processing Electronics (CPE). A second real-time procedure was executed on Apr 12 to update the on-board ephemeris.

A Chandra image release was issued on Apr 12 describing the discovery of a system of colliding galaxy clusters, nicknamed the "Musket Ball" cluster. Astronomers call it this because it is an older and slower cousin to the famous Bullet Cluster, where "normal" and dark matter have been torn apart. Finding this cluster gives scientists insight into a different phase of how galaxy clusters grow and change after major collisions. For details see: http://chandra.si.edu/photo/2012/musketball/

The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of SWIFT J1822.3-1606, which is a follow-up of a Target of Opportunity accepted on Jul 20.
