During the last week the observing schedule was replanned to incorporate an observation of Swift J1910.2-0546, which was accepted as a Target of Opportunity on Sep 17. A portion of a planned observation of M51 was replaced by the TOO and will be rescheduled in future weeks. Chandra passed through the sixteenth, seventeenth, and eighteenth eclipses of the season on Sep 14, 17, and 19 respectively, with nominal power and thermal performance. A real-time procedure was executed on Sep 14 to update the on-board ephemeris. A second real-time procedure was executed on Sep 14 to re-initialize the flight software Thruster Command Processing subfunction in order to prevent the occurrence of an overflow condition. The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes observations of GRB 120711A, which are from a series of Target of Opportunity observations accepted on Jul 17, and observations of SDSS J121629.13+601823.5 and Holmberg IX X-1 coordinated with the ELVA and HST respectively. |
