During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned. A real-time procedure was executed on Mar 9 to uplink a command load to adjust the HRC-S microchannel plate high-voltage levels for the scheduled Crab TOO of Mar 10. Data from the TOO observation of Mar 5 indicated that the detector performance at the originally selected HV had changed significantly from the last HRC-S Crab observation in Nov 2010. Chandra passed through the ninth and tenth eclipses of the season on Mar 10 and 13 respectively, with nominal power and thermal performance. Of note this week, the Chandra Cycle 15 proposal deadline was Mar 14 at 6pm EDT. The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of NuSTAR J163433-473841, which was accepted as a Director's Discretionary Time TOO on Mar 11 and is coordinated with NuSTAR. |
