During the last week the observing schedule was replanned to incorporate observations of NGC 5548 (approved for cycle 15) in order to observe it in an unusual state. Loads for the replanned schedule were uplinked on Aug 31. Planned observations of IDCS J1426.5+3508 were impacted and will be rescheduled in future weeks. Chandra passed through the seventeenth and eighteenth eclipses of the season on Sep 1 and 4 respectively, with nominal power and thermal performance. Real-time procedures were used to monitor the momentum unloads that were executed from the on-board command loads on Aug 31 and Sep 4; in both cases the unload performance was nominal. A real-time procedure was executed on Sep 4 to perform a routine self-check of the Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer. The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of SAX J2103.5+4545, which was accepted as a Target of Opportunity on Aug 13, and an observation of Sgr A coordinated with the EVLA. |
