Chandra X-ray Spectrum of GRB 020813
Chandra observations of the afterglow of the gamma-ray burst GRB 020813 reveal an overabundance of elements characteristically ejected by the supernova explosion of a massive star. The narrow lines, or bumps, due to silicon and sulfur were clearly identified in Chandra's X-ray spectrum of GRB 020813.

Gamma Ray Burst Illustration (labels)
Chandra observations of the afterglow of the gamma-ray burst GRB 020813 reveal an overabundance of elements characteristically ejected by the supernova explosion of a massive star. The artist's illustration shows how the gamma-ray burst's afterglow may be produced when the jet of high-energy particles interacts with the expanding supernova shell.
