Chandra X-ray & Hubble Optical Composite of N132 with Labels
Observations with Chandra (X-ray/blue) and Hubble (optical/pink & purple) were used to make this composite image of N132D, a supernova remnant that was produced by the explosion of a massive star. In this version, the orientation, scale and color code are noted. Note, this image has been rotated clockwise approximately 135 degrees from the 2002 Chandra release.
