NASA TV:

NASA Television provides real-time coverage of Agency activities and missions as well as resource video to the news media, and educational programming to teachers, students and the general public.

NOTE: As of 12:01 a.m. EDT July 1, 2005, digital NASA TV is available on AMC 6, Transponder 17C. Analog NASA TV is no longer available on satellite AMC 6, Transponder 9. Analog NASA TV will remain on AMC 7, Transponder 18C through NASA's Return to Flight mission.

NASA TV via Satellite:

Digital NASA Television can be seen in the continental United States on AMC-6, at 72 degrees west longitude, Transponder 17C, 3880 MHz, vertical polarization, audio at 6.8 MHz. If you live in Alaska or Hawaii, NASA TV can be seen on AMC-7, at 137 degrees west longitude, Transponder 18, at 4060 MHz, vertical polarization, audio at 6.8 MHz in analog through NASA's Space Shuttle Return to Flight mission.

Many cable television companies throughout the United States provide a channel for coverage during missions. If you are unable to find NTV on your cable television system, you may want to contact your service provider. You may also view NASA TV on the web with the free viewer Real Player or MicroSoft's Media Player.

• Kennedy Space Center -- in RealMedia
• HoustonChronicle.com Space Central.
• Classroom of the Future: carries portions of NASA TV and other educational Webcasts.

In addition, online news organizations, such as CNN, MSNBC and Fox Online, may carry some launch and mission coverage.

• Daily NASA Television Programming Schedule
• NASA Television Video file: This advisory to the news media describes the most current audio and video resource material of Agency events. The advisory is updated daily around 2 p.m. (EDT or EST). The video file airs weekdays at noon (EST or EDT), with replays at 3 p.m., 6 p.m., 9 p.m., midnight, 3 a.m. and 9 a.m.
• Schedule of News Events: When press conferences, Space Science Updates, new material for the Video File and other events are added to the NTV schedule, they will be posted here. This file will only be updated as needed.
